MPCSD Presents Musical Theatre Summer Camp 2023!!!
Schoolhouse Rock Jr and 101 Dalmations KIDS, Music Man Jr and Music Man KIDS!
Welcome, MPCSD families, to our 9th annual (1 year off for Covid) summer musical theatre program at Hillview! We will have two, two-week sessions, each with two productions: one Jr musical open to incoming 6th graders up to exiting 8th graders, and one KIDS musical for incoming 4th and 5th graders.

All Schoolhouse JR and Music Man JR Campers who wish
to perform must attend both audition days. All who audition will be cast!
All 101 Dalmations KIDS Campers who wish to perform must attend both audition days. All who audition will be cast!
Music Man KIDS Campers will audition the first day of Camp!
Campers who wish to work backstage do not need
to attend auditions!
Donation
$575 per 2-week session
The camp is funded completely through parent donation and a small ticket price at the show, $5 per ticket. There is a requested donation of $575 per camper per 2-week session due by Friday, May 19. For example, both shows/sessions, a month of camp, would be $1150. This is an amazing value!!!

Donations pay for hourly
wages of: Camp Director, Show Directors and Assistant Directors, Vocal
Director, Choreographer, Technical Director, Camp Counselors, Costumes, Set
Building Supplies and more.

Students bring a lunch and snacks each
day. No overly sweet or sugary snacks or drinks, please.
Activity: Each show is a 2-week camp. Each will end in a fully produced show.
Most of our time will be spent creating the
productions, but we will also have fun with drama games and improvisation.
Performers will rehearse their shows, and crew will build and paint sets,
operate sound and light systems, and help with costumes and makeup. In
addition, all will play drama, improvisation and role-playing games. See above
for show dates.
Auditions
All campers (except Music Man KIDS campers) who wish to perform must attend the
two audition days on June 13th and 14th, 10-noon for KIDS and 1-3pm JR shows.

Staff: Full time staff: Camp Director/Producer-Bill Hairston, Director
Schoolhouse Rock Jr TBA, and Music Man Jr-Bill Hairston, Director 101 Dalmations KIDS-Rachel Bergeron, Director Music Man KIDS and choreographer- Rebecca Bullard, Technical Director- Bob Crabb and
four high school camp counselors. Part-time staff: Amy Meyers-vocal director, and additional high-school counselors. Staff to camper ratio will be 12/1.
